The DCP-9040CN is a networkable colour laser multifunction device with Print, Copy, and Scan functionality.

Why is this printer so cheap? This is a question we keep getting asked, as apparently the price looks 'too good to be true' - especially as it's still displayed at much higher prices on some other sites.

The reason is simple - this printer has now been superceeded by the DCP-9045CDN so we are clearing out the stock to make way for the newer model.

But that doesn't mean that this is out-dated kit, indeed it is the same print engine and same spec as the DCP-9045CDN except the DCP9045CDN has built in duplex. Brother have just made the decision to phase out the non-duplex MFC's.

So don't worry, Brother's policy is that consumables and accessories will be available for at least 5 years after each products end of life. And given that this printer uses the same consumables and accessories as several current/new printers the consumables will be available for a long time.
